Finally coming to stores: The book about De mi barrio a tu barrio / urban heartbeat

Five weeks. Seven walls. Over 70 artists: Action artist and painter, Jim Avignon, at the invitation of the Goethe Institut in Mexico, embarked on a tour of Central America and the Caribbean, creating magic as he went. Working with the theme De mi barrio a tu barrio (From my neighbourhood to your neighbourhood), the German artist, together with local street artists of the region, transformed grey walls in many capital cities into open air works of art. This book captures the most vivid impressions of his trip – large-scale pre-Colombian motifs in Managua, politically motivated stencils in Guatemala City, classic colossal graffiti in San José. In addition, the artists come alive in interviews as they talk about the street art scene and urban life in the metropolises of Mexico City or Kingston. The accompanying texts provide other perspectives and our photo coverage offers a guided tour through San José, Port of Spain or Panama.
